Maybelline Dream Cushion
So today's cushion is not a Korean or Asian cuhiom... its Maybelline! I wanted to try out this one and see how it compares to my normal Korean ones. I have previously tried the L'oreal Lumi cushion, but couldn't find a decent match. that, and the product dried up very fast, almost like the case doesn't create a seal. Safe to say, I felt like the Lumi was a waste of money.
The case isn't exacrly cute or eye-catching, just a basic round case with the name if the product and shade on the front.
Inside there the typical air puff, mirror, and underneath is the makeup. This cushion is heavily saturated, so I feel like it needs to be applied with a light hand so you don't go overboard.
This has s satin matte finish and can be worn for almost a full 8 hours standalone. I'm actually quite impressed with this cushion. The major drawback for me is the fact that there is no SPF in this product, and I'm not a fan of the packaging. It looks kind of bland and cheap. I wish they had made something better looking.
Shade wise, this product matched extremely well. I normally wear 21 in Korean cushions, and I bought the lightest color, porcelain. It has a very natural finish.
This is something that I would surprisingly repurchase, because I do like the match, finish, price point, and availability of the cushion. It won't stop me from seeking out other cushions, but is definitely a product that I feel I can turn back to.
