June Favorites

So this month on top of my favorites of the month, I'm going to add some things that I thought were either ineffective or on a mission to kill my skin.  I'm gonna do this is two parts so it's not a big novel. We will start with the positive faves in this post. This month's top three: Elizavecca's Hell Pore Clean Up Mask, It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact, and Too Faced Love Light highlighter.

Hell Pore Clean Up Mask | Elizavecca

Touted on the internet as "World's most painful mask," I agree that ths mask does hurt like hell when you pull it off. But it's totally worth it, when a certain item I will mention later basically destroyed my skin into a gross mess.

It has the whole gimmick of being able to pull it off and see tons of little things like blackheads and sebaceous filaments hanging out. But this really does clean out some major gunk and leaves skin soft as it also pulls off dead cells.

This has been a staple in my stash for a about a year for when things get wild, but it's really getting a ton of appreciation from me this month because I got destroyed buy a certain cult favorite. I'm actually wearing it right now as I type this post.

It Cosmetics  | Confidence in a Compact | Color: Fair

I've been scooping around in it obviously. No box, because I'm a bad beauty blogger.

Tacky QVC vibe aside, I do love this foundation. I've been on a cushion kick for awhile but still haven't found one that didn't have some sort of inherent shade issue or broke down after around 6 hours. I also love that it is SPF 50+ and has skincare built in.

This stuff I've been applying with an oval facebrush from Walmart, not the recomedned one they sell for almost 50 bucks.. It blends out on my skin like a dream, super quick and super smooth.

It hasn't melted off in the hot sun yet, and holds up to 12 hour shifts. Best part: THE COLOR ACTUALLY MATCHES MY PALE FACE WITH NO ORANGE OR RED.

One gripe: it states that it's full coverage but I find it to be more medium coverage unless you really wanna layer up, but I like minimal layers in the summer time.

Too Faced | Love Light highlighter | Color: Ray of Light

This one took me some time to figure out. but now I love it for that summery glow. I was puzzled at first, because I couldn't get the amount right. One way (straight up fingers) would look like nothing was happening and when I used my regular highlight brush I had the whole seen from space thing but not in a good way. This works best for me if I just do a few layers with a small blending brush on my cheekbones.

I'm still fairly new to highlightes and this is the first one I've bought that had much of a punch, which is weird because a lot of people in the beauty community thought it wasn't bright enough.... hmmm. Different strokes I guess. I like this so much I'm thinking about getting at least one of the other two available shades.
